Alota’s blend of athleticism and IQ makes him a next-level prospect worth betting on. That combination allows him to take calculated risks that pay off on both on-ball and off-ball defense. On the ball, he’s smart about when to throw checks, using timing and precision to disrupt dodgers. Off the ball, he hunts doubles effectively and forces turnovers when he sees an opponent in a vulnerable position.

Quick to ground balls and fast in transition, Alota has the athleticism to make plays all over the field. If he continues to sharpen his stick skills, he has the tools to become a valuable pickup for a college program looking for an athletic, high-IQ defender.
