Back in January, we highlighted Boorda as a young playmaker worth knowing, and this spring, he seized a role at SSDM and looked the part. That was especially true on Wednesday, when he thrived between the lines and contributed a pair of goals. Also a talented football player, Boorda’s speed is eye-popping and creates countless opportunities in transition. He got on the board early in the third quarter, burying a shot from 10 yards out, then struck again in the fourth after a huge save by King in tight. Taking a clearing pass just above the restraining line, he exploded upfield, sold a quick fake to his teammate, and finished the play with four minutes remaining. He nearly added another earlier in the game after making a sharp interception by anticipating a clearing pass from Choate, but missed the empty net by the slimmest margin. Boorda is an incredibly fun player to watch, and there’s little doubt he’ll become a highly sought-after SSDM recruit when the time comes.

The Londonderry (N.H.) native recently matriculated to Loomis Chaffee for the fall, bumping back into the 2029 class and making his presence felt with hard-nosed play in the secondary and on special teams for the Pelicans’ varsity football team. An athletic two-way midfielder, he’s fully capable of winning matchups as a dodger, though he appears poised to take on an SSDM role this spring. Over the summer, he flashed his ability to jam opposing middies and transition well from defense to offense, and the fall offered more of the same. In several key matchups, Boorda did an excellent job matching feet and initiating contact, unleashing some downright nasty checks—clips of which found their way onto Instagram. If I had to guess, we’ll see plenty of him this season, as he looks like a player who will consistently impress between the lines and work his way onto the stat sheet when opportunities arise.
