Expert Analysis
Ty Xanders | Prep Lacrosse Scout
A savvy and skilled left-handed scorer, Daly is the son of longtime Tufts and Brown head coach Mike Daly, who was recently hired as Maryland’s Director of Player Development. Liam plays like someone who has been around the game his entire life. He has a tremendous knack for getting to his spots and knows how to free his hands for quality takes, plus, he’s super tough. Daly embraces contact on his way to the rack, hits shots with guys all over his hands, and adds some grit with his relentless approach in the riding game. As a shooter, he’s got a smooth release from multiple release points and does a nice job getting off accurate underhand shots when appropriate. A natural attackman who racked up 54 goals and 37 assists as a sophomore, Daly showed well when he ran out of the box for Laxachusetts, given that its attackmen are headed to Duke, Virginia, and Notre Dame. That opened some eyes, and I could see him playing midfield at the next level.
