Ericksen is an athletic, two-way midfielder who recently committed to Sacred Heart. In his outstanding junior campaign, Ericksen posted 34 goals to go along with 12 assists and was named 1^st Team All-Gibbs Conference. Ericksen excels at turning defensive stops into scoring chances at the other end of the field. His noteworthy size and speed allow Ericksen to scoop up a ground ball or receive an outlet pass and then push his team’s transition game. Ericksen’s velocity and ability to shoot with either hand makes him a legitimate threat to go coast to coast for a goal. In settled action, Ericksen can explode past or run over his initial defender and then shoot or distribute while on the run. He can also use his filthy stick maneuvers to charge deep into the offensive zone for a scoring chance around the crease. Ericksen is especially skilled at using a hitch move or shot fake to set up his runs to the net. His ability to dodge going to his left or right keeps defenders guessing.
