PLC Summer Championships: Additional 2028 Standouts

Swims, splits, rollbacks, hesitations — you name it, he has probably done it at some point. At the PLC Summer Championships, he showed a little more physicality, leaning into defenders to create separation, which I had not seen before. Regardless of what he does with the ball, he is incredibly confident with it and knows how to free his hands. When he does, he uses a ton of different release points on his stepdowns, on the run, and in tight. He was named Finger Lakes Attackman and Player of the Year after tallying 78 goals and 29 assists. While Arber does not play the best competition in the spring, that skill still showed at PLC. He is a crafty, quick attackman whose game could easily translate to the midfield with his dodging and on-the-run shooting ability. In settled sets, he has the feel to juke and jab past defenders and the speed to cut them off. Arber plays inside well by timing his cuts, has great hands, and can release it wherever he wants, even if he has to backhand it or twist it in. The combination of [player_tooltip player_id='143693' first='Kobe' last='Genco'], [player_tooltip player_id='201310' first='Lucas' last='Grizzanti'], and Sullivan is one of the main reasons the Red Hots did so well at Naptown and why FCA Upstate won the PLC Summer Championship. Their chemistry was obvious at PLC, where it was usually two of the three connecting on a dodge-and-cut or in transition for a dunk or a stepdown. Sullivan is the lefty in that equation, and he does a lot of damage dodging from behind in settled sets with rockers and rollbacks to get up the hashes. He has a great shot, can get it off with pressure on him, and has the slickness to squeeze feeds inside. His on-ball approaches and footwork have looked sound, and when picks came his way, he navigated them flawlessly. Against 2Way at the IMLCA, he handled their off-ball actions well by keeping his hips open to stay with his man through seals and maintain his sliding responsibilities. At PLC, he showed off his athleticism between the lines, won a faceoff, and added an assist in the win over Supreme in the first round of the playoffs. Stat-wise, he wins a ton of possessions for his team. The more you watch him, the more you notice how quick he is on his hands and how athletic he is when scooping up loose balls. He has perfected the scoop-and-hold away from defenders in tight spaces. You can tell he is a natural mover by the way he handles the ball. He put up 30 points in the spring at Seattle Prep, and I saw him score on a sweet face dodge at Naptown.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- /wp:acf/evaluation-block -->
