Martin is a fleet-footed, rangy, and athletic LSM with an active stick. This season, Martin helped anchor a stout defense that pushed Penncrest to the District 1-2A title. In settled action, Martin excels at pressing out on ball carriers in open space and then using a timely slap, poke or overhead to cause a turnover. Martin is also a high-IQ team defender whose slides, double-teams, and switches are always on point. Additionally, when Martin is running back on defense or exploding out of the box, he does a fantastic job of locating the ball, then sprinting to the opposing player and shutting down the fast-break scoring opportunity. Martin’s speed and aggressive stick work enable him to scoop up GBs and then push Penncrest’s transition game.
