A loose yet fiery lefty stopper, Limberg’s stout goalie play has been a big reason why ‘Set is playing in the Nassau County title game. When I’ve tuned in to Manhasset live streams or watched his clips, a common theme has been how he’s made rather difficult saves look particularly easy. Fundamentally sound in every sense, he’s incredibly poised and calm before the shot, reading and reacting rather than guessing. He hugs the pipe on low-angle shots, and will come out and cut down angles in tight to come up with big (and often clean) saves. In the clearing game, Limberg is quick to get the ball up and out to trigger transition, though sometimes his high-energy style of play causes him to get a little jumpy with his outlets, so that’s something to work on going forward.
