At this point, many people on Long Island know how good Paccione is, and Villanova will be getting a player who could eventually have the keys to its offense at X attack. Although he’s not the biggest, Paccione is hands down the best feeder on the island, recording 68 assists as a sophomore. Putting together a great summer with Team 91 Storm, He sees the field very well, and his quick and effective decision-making is always on full display. His instincts as a passer on film are incredible. He knows where his teammates are going to be and he puts them in positions to succeed. Paccione is also a talented dodger and will force slides to allow his feeding ability to take over. He netted 36 goals as well, he was a great shooter and finished around the cage very well.

There’s so much to like about Paccione’s game. The son of Merchant Marine head coach (and longtime St. John’s assistant) Dan Paccione, the 5’7, 150-pounder not only possesses many of the qualities that you’d expect from the son of a college coach, but also the necessary attributes to compensate for a lack of prototypical size. Playing the role of QB and point guard, he sees the field at a high level, creating separation and throwing precise passes when he’s not beating his guy off the dribble. Tough as nails, he does the little things well and is tireless in the riding game, causing multiple turnovers down at IMG and turning them into goals.
