The junior Syracuse commit has stepped into a starring role for Lawrenceville this season after starting as a sophomore last year for one of the best high school teams I’ve ever seen. This year, he’s not just a cog in the offensive machine, he is a dual-threat quarterback capable of dishing out pinpoint feeds and scoring from anywhere on the field. Peck tallied a few goals today, including an impressive goal where he came around the goal-line extended with practically no angle and still managed to find the back of the net. Whether setting up a teammate or scoring himself, Syracuse adds a special asset to its offense in Peck.

Peck was very active all day from his lefty attack spot, posting a goal and two assists in the first quarter alone to finish with a hat trick and two assists overall. He’s a playmaker who can create for himself and his teammates, and when he got the open looks, he made them count. The Syracuse commit is a marksman with time and room and when he’s dealing with pressure, he’s crafty and uses his speed and athleticism to positively affect the game. He’s a smart player and doesn’t try to do too much or force shots or thread the needle in tight.

Peck is a star on an offense for Lawrenceville, a team littered with talent across the roster. As a sophomore, he scored 57 goals and dished out 23 assists while playing against the top competition in the country. Ranked 9th in his class, the Syracuse commit possesses a quick first step when dodging from the lefty wing or X and utilizes the spin move to create space for himself to get a shot off or find an open teammate. One of the reasons defenses have a tough time with him is due to his shooting skills. He has a good shot on the run, whether down the alley or sweeping across the field, and has shown that he doesn’t need as much space to affect the game. When he is working off-ball, he can find soft spots in the defense, and with time and room, he is extremely efficient, while mixing up his shooting targets. The 5-star recruit is a natural lefty but has shown that he can produce with either hand and is an all-around playmaker with good footwork, speed, and a lethal shot which is why he is a top 10 recruit in his class.

had a statement season as a sophomore! Peck accounted for 57 goals & 23 assists that combined for 80 points in 2024. Peck used his precision placement all year for the #1 team in the country scoring mostly with his left. Peck is a sure shot & moves well to increase his angle & feed his teammates when they have a better opportunity with a “1-more”. Hansen is a deceptive dodger who will make plays from behind the goal. A savvy player when shooting off a defender’s approach, naturally screening goalies. Peck is a consensus five-star prospect. Verbally committed to Syracuse.

Peck presents quite an argument as the most dangerous goal-scorer in the class, having posted an incredible 57-goal, 23-assist stat line in his first year with the back-to-back national champion Big Red. At Showtime, he only strengthened that argument, finding the back of the net at least nine times, a campaign highlighted by a five-goal game on Tuesday morning. He’s an outstanding shooter, but there’s a lot more to Peck’s game than that, as he’s capable of dodging through traffic and throwing a fake or two to move the goalie before beating in tight. Doing an excellent job without the ball, he mixes up his release points as well as any ’26.

Watching Peck in his first outing with the Big Red at Jersey Strong in June, all it took was a few possessions (and a few absolute bombs from the wing) to see how perfectly he fits with the way Lawrenceville plays. Following the graduation of lefty sharpshooter Hunter Chauvette, Peck’s arrival also comes at the right time. Of course, there’s no such thing as a 1-for-1 replacement in this case, not to mention their skill sets are rather different even if they look similar physically. A transfer from Albany Academy (N.Y.), he packs a punch despite his lanky 5’10, 155-pound frame and has powerful wrists that allow him to put a ton of zip on his shots. He cocks his stick head way back to hide his release and isn’t afraid to let it go from 12 to 15 yards, often before goalies even see it coming. Dynamic as a dodger with the craftiness of a Canadian, he changes directions on a dime and is constantly able to get a step to create his shot or set teammates up. Whether he’s at attack or running out of the box, Peck should find himself on the stat sheet quite a bit this spring.
