Expert Analysis

Ireland already has a terrific body of work for a first-semester junior, holding four school records: points in a season (102), goals in a season (67), points in a game (14), and goals in a game (11). As one might surmise by looking at those numbers, the big lefty incredibly skilled and constantly creates scoring opportunities for himself and others. Ireland, who comes from a notable lacrosse family, is super crafty around the cage but can also bang shots from range. With the ball in his stick, he’s gifted at taking advantages of poor approaches and defensive miscues. There’s no doubt that Ireland has the size, stick skills, and productivity to land a spot at a mid-level Division I program (at the very least), however, working on his consistency should be a point of emphasis going forward. A relatively undersized yet explosive netminder from Richmond, Moring was part of a rock-solid goalie tandem for Next Level this summer.
