A projected four-year starter for Yorktown and a returning team captain, Hunter Mezzatesta has already piled up 640+ career saves. He posted 171 saves (58.4%) as a freshman, 220 saves (64%) as a sophomore, and 250 saves as a junior in 2025 — numbers that reflect rare longevity, consistency, and growth inside one of New York’s most demanding pipelines in the Hudson Valley region.

Hunter plays with a calm command that settles the entire defense in front of him. Mechanically, Mezzatesta is sharp: quick top hand, strong rebound control, smooth level changes, and the ability to win possessions with athletic second efforts.
