Under the Radar 2027s in Pennsylvania

During the first week of September a handful of the elite 2027 prospects in Pennsylvania will receive calls and texts from college coaches. A few in that group will elect to give their verbal commitment to a college program this month.   For other 2027 prospects in Pennsylvania, the recruiting process may take a little longer because they are “flying under the radar”. Today, we will profile five talented prospects who fall into this category.   College coaches need to stop sleeping on these players and contact them immediately.    Cullen is an elusive lefty with remarkable change of direction moves. His ability to execute a string of spins, cuts and roll backs until his hands are free for a shot or pass is elite. Cullen can also execute one quick fake such as a stutter step or inside hitch and then get underneath his defender for a dash to the cage that ends in a high percentage scoring opportunity. On those charges to the net, Cullen does a fantastic job of protecting his stick and maintaining possession through contact. As a high IQ attack, Cullen excels at reading slides / double teams and then moving the ball to an open teammate. Cullen has displayed an intriguing ability to get back to his left hand no matter how hard the opposing defender is shading him right. This versatile prospect has flashed the ability to effectively play at midfield too.     Jeckell is an extremely quick as well as nimble pole with impressive stick skills. That trifecta makes Jeckell a legitimate two-way threat from his LSM spot. On defense, those assets enable Jeckell to pursue and turn an offensive player multiple times before he dislodges the ball with a stick check, lift or poke. The poise Jeckell has displayed while operating on an island in man to man is unique for a 2027. Jeckell has also proven that he is an excellent communicator and owns a deep understanding of team defensive concepts. His ground ball skills, speed and shifty moves allow Jeckell to snap up GBs and then lead the breakout. After he has entered the offensive end, Jeckell will not hesitate to take a crow hop and unleash from deep. Still, it is his creative and timely passing skills while on the run that may be the most impressive part of Jeckell's transition skills. Jeckell is a plus player on the wing during face offs too.     This California native is experiencing an increase in his recruiting stock after an impressive stretch play across this past spring and summer. Kosinski is an incredibly athletic, fast, and shifty midfielder with incredible upside. With his explosive burst and on the run shooting / passing skills, Kosinski thrives at generating offense from up top. When he is looking to score while on the move, Kosinski does a wonderful job of setting up roll backs to his right hand for a shot. Kosinski also excels at coming out of the box, receiving an outlet pass and then using his speed to create transition opportunities. College coaches will love his non-stop off ball movement that produces quality looks. Plus, Kosinski has proven that he can run at attack where he can initiate the offense from the wing, fire shots from GLE and finish in close.     This multi-sport athlete (also plays basketball) is a versatile pole with an enormous wingspan and polished footwork. That list of assets helps Linaugh effectively harass ball carriers on the perimeter. Linaugh's insanely long reach enables him to stay on the offensive player's hands without over committing. His powerful stick checks and crafty pokes frequently cause turnovers. Linaugh's long arms mean that a trail check is never out of the question. When the ball hits the turf, Linaugh is a cheat code for picking up GBs. Once he has secured possession, Linaugh's long strides will the carry him down field rapidly, creating a transition opportunity for his team. Linaugh is also a wizard at disrupting passing / shooting lanes with his stick. College coaches will appreciate Linaugh's smart decisions in the clearing game too.     Rully is a 6'4”, 210-pound beast with good foot speed. Combine those physical assets with his filthy stick skills and you get an attack who is a match-up nightmare for opposing defenses. With his unique size and aggressive style, Rully is capable of bullying defenders until he gets to his shooting spots. Plus, Rully frequently charges through double teams and slides for a finish in close. His poise and solid frame allow Rully to absorb significant contact before he deposits the ball in the net. Despite his size and physicality, opponents should not underestimate Rully's ability to use his quick burst to generate clean looks on the run. His incredible size and textbook mechanics enable Rully to generate powerful shots from GLE as well as the perimeter. At 6'4”, Rully can see over the top of most defenses. That field vision combined with his unselfish nature produces a slew of creative assists.
