Goldman is a reliable close defender who disrupts midfield matchups with speed and reach. His stick is always at the ready for takeaways, something I really liked from his film. He anticipates passes and dodges well, closes gaps with precision, and moves with his opponent. He watches for hip movements and never allows his match-up the first step. Goldman knows his way around, simple as that. His strong positioning also puts him a step above the rest.
