Cole Philip played well at the Maryland Lacrosse Showcase, showing an aggressive, fundamentally sound, and versatile skill set. He turned heads with a sequence that included a well-timed over-the-head check, clean ground ball pickup, and a smart decision in transition. Defensively, Philip moves his feet well to stay in front of dodgers and throws calculated checks without overcommitting. He also showed versatility during the spring by taking faceoffs with a long pole. Philip brings a competitive edge and positional awareness that makes him a valuable piece on the backend.
