Trilogy Intensive Club Experience: Goalie Evaluations

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Trilogy Intensive Club Experience (ICE) ran from July 6–11 at Eastern University, bringing together top-tier instruction &amp; an unmatched commitment to development. Headlined by lacrosse legends Ryan Boyle (Princeton) &amp; Mitch Belisle (Cornell), the camp featured an all-star cast of coaches &amp; counselors. With six full days of programming, Trilogy ICE stands alone as the longest-running lacrosse camp in the country.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>From the very start, the Directors welcomed players with a clear layout of expectations—introducing the coaching staff, breaking down the schedule, &amp; emphasizing the camp's core values. Player development was front &amp; center all week long, with dedicated sessions on setting goals, building college lists, creating highlight videos, &amp; sharpening communication skills for outreach to coaches.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>On the field, the curriculum was dialed in with clear diagrams, maps, &amp; movement plans. Off the field, players got a true taste of college life—learning how to approach campus tours with purpose &amp; walk away with actionable insights.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Amid the summer heat &amp; rigorous schedule, six goalies stood tall and embraced the challenge head-on. They came to compete, to learn, &amp; to level up. He posted 249 saves as a junior this past spring with a 67.79% save percentage. Tony's signature moment included 17 saves in a victory over Spring Grove 6 to 2. He keeps confidence with his stick-stance at 6ft! Larock has good reactions, he makes corrections, &amp; is very coachable. He gets down to low shots &amp; uses his body to block a bounce. Tony is a hard worker who shows power in his shuffle steps &amp; speed in his flow. He has been credited to be a brick wall by his coaches &amp; a keeper who earns the respect of his teammates, communicating effectively. He started his career as a freshman at Stevenson School, earning 2nd-Team All League with a 54% save percentage on the year (2023). McCarthy is high energy with quick reactions, consistent in his communication &amp; clearing. He demonstrates strong ball-tracking abilities as well as explosive lateral movement! Graydon is poised with possession where his coaches trust him in transition with proper pace &amp; touch on his outlets. He is quick &amp; efficient with his movement, allowing him to make stops in close. Lucas was named 2nd Team All Region 5C while also taking home Defensive MVP honors for his Varsity program (2025). He stepped up on the club circuit, holding a 62% save percentage while earning various awards &amp; recognitions like MVP, All-Star, All-Showcase, &amp; All-Tournament teams in 2024. Maxey has a balanced stance with a stellar top hand. His boxer's punch allows him to make saves off-stick side &amp; reverse cradle for clearing success. Lucas protects all three levels of the goal as he reads &amp; reacts to shooters with little to no wasted movement. He does a nice job flipping hands &amp; hips after the save, moving his feet in the crease for quarterbacking opportunities. Colton was named team MVP twice so far (2024 &amp; 2025) for the Comets! He is a coach's son who brings the intensity for his team, demonstrates a high lacrosse IQ, &amp; responds well to feedback or critique. Naholnik was named 2nd Team All-WVC Conference in 2025 &amp; Honorable Mention in 2024. He also holds the single-season saves record at his school. Colton tracks the ball with his central &amp; peripheral vision while trusting his keen instincts. He is consistent &amp; quick. Naholnik is an athlete outside of the crease &amp; can use his legs to push transition as much as his solid stick skills. Hunter is intentional with his movement as he flows to the ball with proper form &amp; technique. He is an impressive goalie who coaches called up to play High School Lacrosse in the 8th grade! Dobyns' stance &amp; hand-placement stand out as he maximizes his surface area. He plays with style using a goalie-length shaft longer than the 30' short-stick to amplify the fulcrum in the clear. Hunter catches most shots clean &amp; gobbles up rebounds quickly, giving his team an advantage. He is capable of making all the different types of saves. Asher made 160 saves starting with Varsity as a freshman in 2025. He was named 1st Team All-Ivy with a 56% save percentage on the year. Klein also helped Team Israel U-15 win the Heritage Cup Championship this past year. He uses a wide-based stance &amp; his frame to protect the surface area of the goal. Asher does a nice job working his angles while exploding laterally to protect precision shots to the corners. He has the upright posture &amp; positioning coaches like to see through the save while also displaying leadership qualities.
