Carson Spitz Carson Spitz Carson Spitz 6'2" | 180 lbs | M/SSDM | Right Hand Mount Saint Joseph | 2027 MD is one of the top uncommitted midfielders in Maryland who still feels a little under the radar with college coaches. With his size, skill, and ability to take over stretches of a game, the ceiling is high. This fall, he has shown he can fill several different roles, and it starts with his dodging. Spitz can create his own look in a lot of ways—leaning into defenders and getting physical, changing direction with splits, swims, and roll dodges, and then going to his nastiest move: the rocker. He beats short sticks so consistently that he can almost hold them hostage, probing the defense and forcing them to show their hand. He’ll make that subtle first move just to see how the slide package is going to react, then he’s off—either getting to a shot, shopping for a teammate, or drawing slides to get the defense moving. Because he processes quickly, reads rotations, and can shoot on the run, he plays at whatever pace he wants and still finds ways to carve defenses up.
