5-12 Record Still Makes Waves in NY CHSAA? Five Players to Watch

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Despite their 5-12 record thus far in the season, the Archbishop Stepinac High School Boys' Varsity Lacrosse team has made waves in the NY CHSAA conference's “AA” division this year. On April 12th, the boys beat Irondequoit High School 12-3 on their home turf, with notable moments from Cole Mayclim (3G, 3A) and Liam Smith (4G). The Crusaders then bested St. Dominic High School with a score of 9-5 on May 3rd, where Mayclim scored his 100th varsity career goal and [player_tooltip player_id='129606' first='Nash' last='Mayclim'] scored 4 goals and 1 assist during the game.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>What other Crusaders should we be looking out for? Next year, he will be attending Le Moyne as an attackman for the men's lacrosse program. Putting up 100 varsity goals, Mayclim not only has lacrosse IQ, quick feet, and a leadership mentality, but he is also an all-around team player. Not only that, but a game later, Ramos went 17/20 while also scoring a goal. Ramos is currently a senior captain at Stepinac. He wears #25 and is committed to Binghamton University in the fall, where he will continue his athletic and academic endeavors. He also played club for 2Way Black. Along with that, the long-term exposure he is sure to get from being a young varsity athlete makes him a must-watch player for the future.
