Flaum put together one of the better seasons among 2028s in Section V, putting up 38 goals and 30 assists and picking up 2nd Team All-League distinction. From there, he carried that momentum into the summer and showed the well-roundedness of his skill set. His high-level footwork is a hallmark of his game, as he artfully attacks his matchups from behind the cage and uses his bounce and change-of-direction to free up his hands to make plays. Flaum can win his matchups attacking from X and get up the hash, play the pipes while working off-ball, or stretch defenses with his shot. He’s always playing under control and is someone that you can trust to make the right decisions with the ball and make heads-up plays. He’s more of a goal-scorer, but has developed as a passer over time and throws the ball around with confidence.
