About Ryan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

The middie position has always been a natural fit for me because of my speed and endurance coupled with my vision and ball handling. I love to play aggressive defense and create turnovers that quickly translate to fast break scoring opportunities for the offense. On offense I enjoy dodging from the top and getting the whole team involved in the play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I have a love for the sport of lacrosse, which makes it easy for me to constantly practice and find ways to improve on my own - outside of team-organized practices and events. I work with a personal trainer, and I've run cross country in the past to increase my endurance. I find open fields to get my own work in multiple times every week.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I've consistently earned honors or high academic honors each quarter.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have developed many qualities, some of which include leadership, I'm motivated, my ability to help make everyone around me better, and my ability to get along with and make everyone feel included.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had a calf injury during cross-country season, which caused me to miss several races and significantly affected my season. I could still run during the season, but not as intensely, and I still was able to be a part of the team and do what I could.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm open to evaluating small and big schools. I want to find a place that is a great fit for me athletically and academically and will prepare me for my future.
