This is nothing new, but 3d New England will have some highly recruited middies in the ’27 cycle with Card and Belmont Hill’s John Lynch, who has already been highlighted a handful of times here on Prep Lacrosse. At 6’3, Card is a big and imposing athlete who is a physical force at midfield but has the skills and slickness of an attackman. Possessing excellent hands, the lefty proved to be incredibly difficult to slow down with a full head of a steam. On Sunday, he scored on a variety ways, finding the net on a hammer of a stepdown, a beauty of a goal through traffic on a wing dodge, then a nasty backhanded wraparound late in the day. The fluidity with which Card moves with his frame is noteworthy, and he’s got a rather advanced skill set as a dodger along with tremendous power and accuracy on his shot.
