After his incredible sophomore season at Jupiter, Druhot was named to the Florida 2A All-State Team. He was the only 2027 in the 2A classification to receive that distinguished honor. Druhot’s speed, quick first step and ability to play with either hand make him a matchup nightmare for opposing teams. Druhot can work as an initiator from X as well as the wing. From those spots, his speed and shiftiness allow Druhot to blow past the initial defender for a run at the net. He is extremely effective at using inside rolls to separate from his defender. Poles often become so preoccupied with Druhot’s drives to the cage that they forget about his elite shooting skills. Druhot’s quick release and accuracy make him a threat to snipe from any distance or angle. Lastly, Druhot is a wizard at cutting behind defender’s helmets and then using his filthy stick skills for creative finishes around the crease.

At IDX, Druhot was constantly setting himself up to be at the end of a lot of plays, though I’ve been told that there’s a lot more to his game than just finishing. However, he was able to be incredibly productive by scoring in transition and by getting it done with time and room. A high-percentage shooter with great size for his age, Druhot has superb hands and wrists, allowing him to throw fakes to make goalies move and get well-placed shots off in a hurry with a nasty release. Working in tandem with Coluzzi, the stat sheets had Druhot down for three goals against the Tide, two goals and an assist against the Longhorns, then another two-goal outing against the Wildcats. I’ll be intrigued to see more of him this fall with his Sweetlax team.
