A 1st Team All-State performer as a junior, Braden held opponents to a mere 4.7 goals against average with a 70.6% save percentage. He has quick hands and plays with minimal hitch. This allows him to attack high and low shots and save the ball cleanly - limiting rebound opportunities for the opponent. Braden is a weapon in the clearing game, often looking for quick breakout opportunities to push transition. When necessary he is athletic and comfortable enough to carry the ball himself as well. Owen transferred to McCallie this fall after leading his Hendersonville team to a 10-4 record last season where he held opponents to an 8.8 goals against average and a 58.7% save percentage. He has extremely fast hands and active feed allowing him to move pipe-to-pipe easily. He is very comfortable in the clearing game demonstrating accurate passing and quick breakouts. Owen does play with a slight hitch which gets him in trouble against stronger, more accurate shooters. The leader of Father Ryan's defense had a great sophomore campaign where he held the opposition to just 7.8 goals against average stopping 66.1% of shots faced. His fast hands, active feet, and ability to explode through the ball without a hitch make him a strong ball stopper without allowing many rebounds. A standout track and field athlete and cross country runner, Clark is very athletic and it shows in the clearing game. He is very comfortable and not afraid to push the ball upfield himself. Ryan looks to build upon a strong freshman campaign where he stifled the opposition to an 8.3 goals against average and a 53.3% save percentage. His quick hands and explosive footwork make him a great ball stopper from both outside and inside shots. Ryan also plays his angles well which limits the amount of available net that's visible to shooters. As he gains more experience, Ryan can become more assertive in the clearing game and develop into the quarterback of the defense. After an impressive junior season where he stopped 67.5% of shots and held opponents to 10.2 goals against average, Jonathan returns to lead the defense of his Centennial squad. He plays a high arc in the cage which significantly limits the available net visible to shooters. The high arc style also contributes to his success with inside shots, allowing him to match the shooters stick more easily. His explosive hands and quick feet allow him to make quick turns and move pipe to pipe smoothly. Ryder returns for his senior season after holding opponents to just 7.7 goals per game with a 55.3% save percentage as a junior. His impressive frame combined with his quick hands and nimble feet make it extremely difficult for shooters to find any open net. Despite his height, he gets down to low shots incredibly well for a goalie of his size. Ryder is very comfortable in the clearing game, throwing very accurate outlet passes and not afraid to bring the ball upfield himself.
