Uncommitted Ohioans: Class of 2025 Midfielders

The last of this series for 25's, here are some senior midfielders from the Central and Southern regions of Ohio who have not yet made their college commitments.    Muchmore is a versatile player who excels on both offense and defense. He uses his size and strength to make impactful plays and demonstrates good spatial awareness and recognition of where people are on the field. If he's given room topside or inside, he takes it and can shoot under pressure. I like how he maneuvers through contact and effectively guards the ball while keeping his eyes up. His shooting abilities are diverse, whether he is on the move or ripping from outside. And the stick looks light in his hands. Muchmore's varied shot selection makes it challenging for opponents to anticipate his next move. Defensively, he matches feet well and is a threat to cause turnovers.     Henning is a threat when he has the ball in his stick, opening up the field as he dodges on the offensive end. He brings his defender to space and uses his speed to run by them, forcing the defense to adjust and slide. Henning has range on his shots and can shoot accurately from outside. His use of space can be attributed to his lacrosse IQ; he sees where the field is opening up while he dodges. He varies where he dodges and when he cuts or rolls, making him difficult to defend. If you give him an inch, he takes a mile.     Scruggs has excellent vision and is skilled at making plays by passing or catching the ball, even in traffic. He moves fluidly with the ball, keeping his feet and stick active. When given the opportunity, he's quick to make a move around his defender and isn't hesitant to shoot through traffic or over defenders, using well-timed jump shots. He's decisive with the ball in open space and out of ground ball situations. When he shoots, he's able to place his shots in tight spaces, making it challenging for the goaltender to save. Scruggs was named Honorable Mention All-State this past spring.     Lewis is a versatile player who does not give up on the play. He has a great sense of the game and adjusts to the defense in front of him. He is quick to move the ball when he sees an open man, or he will take a shot if he's within range with free hands. He has accurate shooting from a distance and doesn't hold onto the ball for too long. Lewis also uses both hands and challenges ground balls. On defense, he is active with both his stick and his feet and is relentless while riding the ball. He's a player that can makes plays all over the field, and plays with the team.     Pinkerton has a quick release on his shots and tough dodging skills. He is not afraid to run through contact and uses his body effectively to gain an advantage over the opposing player. With his athleticism and aggressiveness, Pinkerton has the ability to score while on the move, shooting the ball with accuracy. He can also capitalize on the opportunity to score from distance using his strong shooting motion and use of space. Additionally, he is patient and has a variety of skills and tricks at his disposal. He is a workhorse on the field.
