Laxachusetts is one of the most feared clubs in the entire New England region. They reflect the most aggressive tendencies of the region as well, which produces players with optimum confidence and on-field toughness that one would expect from those with associated vocal accents. An indication of how successful that approach is is that several players from the class of 2028 have already committed to D1 schools across the country, with more to come this week. Here are five Laxachusetts players who are still looking for their college homes.

The script on Shaughnessy's journey has flipped this fall. He has turned down multiple offers from Division I schools, a few of which were fairly high-profile, and is still in the hunt for the perfect fit. As captain of the Laxachusetts Black squad, he is also one of Thayer's key players this spring. The thing people underrate about Shaughnessy is his ability to create scoring chances from anywhere on the field. He is one of those rare attackmen who can turn a downhill dodge into a diagonal look that shears defenses open. Dunnie is not done - and this fall he may lay waste to anyone who thinks such nonsensical notions on the field.

Another Thayer product, Wajda is in the mix this fall and is still looking for a program that he can slot into. A hybrid defenseman who can dole out big hits and also dislodge the ball with finesse checks, the only surprise right now is that Wajda is still uncommitted. He's had some interest from schools in the New England area, which could work for him in the long run this fall, but maybe not in the way everyone thinks. The more teams that see him play, the more opportunities will come his way, which could force the coaching staff of those in-region schools to be less flirty and more committed in their pursuit.

Rogers is one of the best players in the MIAA and is set to compete this fall for more looks. The military academies are interested in what he can bring to their programs, as are some Big East schools. Another team's slow start to this recruiting window might pay off if they can land Rogers, especially if they're still looking to add to their offensive haul. A powerful alley dodger, Rogers has that throwback juggernaut shoulder drop that decimates poorly positioned shortsticks. I wouldn't be surprised if a Patriot League school snapped Rogers up at the start of November.

I have heard Sambucci described as "an absolute [insert large animal here]" by pretty much everyone I have talked to. A middle linebacker given form and function as an SSDM in lacrosse, he can hang with anyone defensively. Some ACC and Big 10 schools have shown interest, but d-mids - despite their importance in all aspects of modern lacrosse- aren't given the priority as scorers or other specialists at this stage of the window. Sambucci is unfortunately sidelined with a broken hand from football, so he won't be able to play until the end of this fall season. That may delay his commitment further, but he will be committing to a D1 program in 2027 at the latest.

Millsom has had a lot of action behind the scenes, which is not surprising given his combination of size and utility. A truly versatile pole, Millsom skews harder to the defensive side of being an LSM, but that has a ton of intrinsic value to the right program. He can come in and play in any of the four pole spots, so anchor a man-down unit as easily as he can line up on the wing and put the clamps on a dominant FOGO. Millsom is integral to the success of the Roxbury Latin defense, and if he goes unclaimed by a program this fall, it will no doubt fuel his progression this spring. That's a scary thought for ISL attackmen to have because now they might not leave the field with both arms functioning.
