Hinsdale Central Advances after Comeback Against St. Rita

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>I attended the Hinsdale Central (IL) vs St. Rita (IL) Sectional Quarterfinal game on Friday night at Hinsdale Central. It was a very entertaining game and St. Rita had control going into halftime 9-6. But the Red Devils were able to launch a comeback, and they scored 4 goals in the 3rd quarter to go up 10-9. Then in the 4th quarter they wisely possessed the rock, and didn't give St. Rita many chances as the time dwindled down. Hinsdale Central then closed things out in the final minutes, and ended up winning 12-10. They will now go on to face Oak Forest tomorrow night. He dished out a nice assist to Bradley early on, then later found the back of the net himself. He released a few quality shots on the run that fooled the goalie, and I was also a fan of how he got his teammates going on the sideline. He had a strong rip on the run in the 3rd quarter to tie things up. He then dodged down the left side and scored second goal in a row, giving HC the lead. He then tallied his third goal (and 3rd in a row) after wrapping around the cage. He rattled off one goal after another for the Red Devils. Leveraging his size and strength to gain inside position and absorb stick checks. He also utilized nice shot placement, and had a hat trick before the game even hit the 9:00 minute mark. He capitalized during a fast break for them, letting go a powerful shot that stung the net. He also made the extra pass and hit his brother with a dime. He did it in a variety of ways as well. Shooting on the run a couple of times. As well stepping into one with a bit of a pro hop.
