He consistently communicates with his defensemen, keeping them prepared for dodgers and cutters. Isani also isn't afraid to put his body on the line to make saves, and he shows added value by sprinting out to back up missed shots to help his team regain possession. Overall, he stays focused and elevates the play of those around him.

Mason Wingard is a reliable netminder thanks to his sharp instincts and excellent anticipation. He has a strong sense of where shooters want to place the ball, making him effective against long-range shots as well as inside shots. Wingard can also leave the goal to scoop up a ground ball if needed thanks to his athleticism. With his all-around game, he'll be exciting to follow next season, and it will be interesting to see how he continues to develop.

Ryland Peterson has many of the attributes that you look for in a goalie. He is locked in from the opening face off and he stays ready to make last second stops. His elite reaction time and quick hands allow him to make cross crease saves, and he will also eat up and bouncers or worm burners. In addition to having a good save percentage, he's a coach out on the field. And he knows how to get his troops in order. All in all, there's a lot to like. If you're a college coach, keep him on your radar.

Jett Piercy is one of the more versatile goalies here in Nevada. He stands at about 6'2 and wisely leverages his height and reach to stifle opponents. I also like how he meets the ball and isn't afraid to use his body to eat up shots. Beyond that, he's a great passer and can deliver the rock on a rope to defenders or middies who get open.

Grayson Griego is another 2028 goalie to keep an eye on heading into 2026. Although he was just a freshman last season, he saw limited varsity action and made the most of his opportunities. At this stage, his standout traits include strong lateral movement, a willingness to attack shots by punching the ball away, and decisiveness when looking to clear. While he's still adding layers to his game, Griego projects as a goalie who will continue to improve as his experience grows.

[player_tooltip player_id='129350' first='Quinn' last='Taylor'] came onto my radar during the spring season while playing for Palo Verde's JV squad. He has the frame and build needed to erase angles, and he pairs that with strong awareness and a high lacrosse IQ, allowing him to anticipate where shooters want to place the ball. On top of that, Taylor delivers accurate outlet passes when clearing and consistently competes at a high level.

Nevada lacrosse is seeing a surge of talented 2027 and 2028 goalies making a name for themselves. As the 2026 season approaches, these rising netminders are ones every coach and scout will want to keep on their radar.
