While Part I spotlighted some of the early-season standouts across all divisions, Part Two takes a closer look at the next wave of rising talent in the '28 and '29 classes. These players showed poise, athleticism, and skill well beyond their years at The Preview play day, proving that the future of the Northeast lacrosse scene is in good hands. Whether it was dominant faceoff play, defensive takeaways, or crafty finishing, this group made the most of their opportunity inside Chase Fieldhouse and turned plenty of heads in the process.

Passing the eye test at 6'5", 195 pounds, Marschner already looks like a player who will draw significant college attention when September 2026 rolls around. At The Preview, he showcased every tool you'd want in a high-level defender—size, strength, athleticism, and a sharp defensive IQ. Marschner makes life difficult for opposing attackmen in every phase. His height allows him to knock down passes with ease and go over the head for takeaways, while his strength lets him bully dodgers off their lines. He's also athletic enough to scoop ground balls cleanly and push transition with confidence thanks to solid stick skills. What truly separates him, though, is his sense for timing doubles and creating turnovers—traits that make him one of the most advanced 2028 defenders on the field.

[player_tooltip player_id='120663' first='Ethan' last='Suwankosai'] was one of the top faceoff specialists at The Preview play day, controlling the X with confidence and consistency. Through two games, he dropped only a handful of draws and still managed to give his wings chances to battle for 50-50 ground balls when he didn't win cleanly. At 5'6", his lower center of gravity and strong legs give him a natural leverage advantage, and his lightning-fast hands helped him win the ball forward to generate transition.

Suwankosai isn't just a draw man—he's a complete playmaker. He handled the ball well in traffic and finished the day with multiple good shots, a goal, an assist, and several hockey assists. With his quickness, toughness, and ability to impact the game beyond the X, Suwankosai proved to be one of the most complete 2028 specialists at the event.

The defender from Greenwich showcased skills well beyond his years during The Preview, standing out in matchups against both Duke's LC and BBL. On ball, he applied excellent pressure, forcing multiple turnovers without overcommitting or compromising position. Off-ball, his stance and awareness were equally impressive. He showed a strong grasp of slide packages and, more importantly, the timing to know when to rotate and when to jump on vulnerable matchups. One of his best moments came in the third quarter, when he demonstrated elite ground-ball ability and composure under pressure. Outnumbered near the midline by multiple BBL attackers, he managed to goose the ball free and start transition, eventually assisting [player_tooltip player_id='165973' first='Alexander' last='Chang'] on the other end. With his IQ, confidence, and competitive edge, Golden looks like a future defensive leader and one of the more advanced 2029 prospects on the field.

The lefty from Bergen Catholic put together an impressive showing at The Preview, finishing with three goals and an assist against BBL. Each goal showcased a different layer of his offensive skill set. His first came in transition, using a subtle head fake to freeze the goalie low before finishing high. The second displayed his dodging ability and on-the-run shooting, perfectly placing a shot to the goalie's off-stick hip. His final goal was a step-down from the lefty wing—a shot defined by hip rotation, deception, and power.

What stands out most about Chang is his ability to generate velocity while hiding his stick from the goalie. With his smooth mechanics, deceptive shooting, and versatility as a lefty scorer, Chang has the tools to develop into a high-impact player at the high school level and beyond.

[player_tooltip player_id='165977' first='Evan' last='Kang'] turned heads at The Preview play day, finishing with multiple goals and an assist in an impressive all-around showing. His combination of scoring ability and lacrosse IQ immediately stood out. Kang can finish in a variety of ways, but his biggest strengths come on step-down opportunities and in-tight finishes. On step-downs, his smooth underhand release keeps goalies guessing—he can bury it low or pull it high at the last second. Around the crease, he shows great poise, moving goalies and hitting open nets with precision.

His most impressive play of the day came against Duke's LC, when he sealed off the hot defender, slipped the pick as his man fought through it, and buried a quick-stick finish inside. With his combination of shooting touch, awareness, and polish around the goal, Kang looks like one of the more advanced 2028 finishers from The Preview.
