Pennsylvania 2027's We Expect to Commit Soon

Over the last three weeks players in Pennsylvania's Class of 2027 have been flying off the recruiting board. Unofficially, we count twenty-one prospects from Pennsylvania who have already verbally committed to a college program during September.   But today we wanted to review five 2027s from the Keystone State who are still available, but who we expect will give their verbal commitment to some lucky college program before the end of the month.    Holm is a fast, skilled, and high IQ two-way midfielder. Offensively, Holm can get downhill in a flash and then use his serious shake to elude defenders on his way to the cage. Holm's nifty stick maneuvers and ability to protect his stick with his body enable him to maintain possession while navigating through heavy traffic. Holm is a threat to shoot or deliver a creative assist on the run. His ability to execute two-man game action is unique. When Holm drops back to play SSDM, his quick bursts, smooth footwork and physicality combine to produce a fierce on-ball presence. Holm excels at using timely crow bars to create turnovers. Once the ball hits the turf, Holm's will pounce on the rock and then race into the offensive end for a transition opportunity. Holm also possesses the athleticism and discipline to work as a shut off SSDM.     Jones is a three-sport athlete (hoops & track too) with speed, a non-stop motor and polished stick skills. His basketball point guard skills are extremely evident on the lacrosse field, as Jones displays fantastic instincts for when to capitalize on his own scoring chances versus when to distribute. Jones has also shown that he values possession. Thus, he rarely makes an ill-advised decision with the ball. But make no mistake, Jones owns the attacking mindset, moves and shooting skills to score in bunches. Jones's ability to change direction multiple times in a possession enables him to lose his defender and find open space. His ability to shoot with either hand as well as from any angle, keeps opposing goalies off-balance. Jones frequently uses jump shots to find the back of the net too. As a bonus to all his offensive skills, Jones is a plus player in the clearing game.     During the 2025 season the fleet footed, and highly skilled Rafalowski recorded 37 goals to go along with 31 assists. Those impressive stats earned Rafalowski a 1st Team All-Suburban One League nod. Rafalowski can initiate from anywhere in the offensive end. He excels at making one quick move and then using his next level speed to make a straight line run to the net. Rafalowski can finish on the move via powerful overhands and side arm cranks or by slipping a low rip past the goalie. Rafalowski also owns filthy change of direction moves. Thus, Rafalowski can patiently work his defender until a he can get his hands free for a shot or to deliver a pass to an open teammate. Rafalowski is an especially effective feeder from X. When he is off-ball, Rafalowski has a knack for drifting into open space for a quick catch and shoot.     After his standout 2025 season, this quick, athletic, and physical face off specialist with textbook mechanics was a 1st Team All-Suburban One League selection. Reilly excels at winning the clamp cleanly and then dashing into the offensive end to create a scoring opportunity for his team. When Reilly races in from the face off dot, he is a legitimate threat to ping a corner or fire a bouncer past the goalie. If things get chaotic at the dot, Reilly possesses the GB skills, tenacity, and balance to secure possession and then exit to open space. Reilly will often hold off his opponent with a physical spin or box out and then secure the ground ball. College coaches will also love the way Reilly can drop to ground and grind out a win by overpowering his opponent.     At 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, Shanahan's intimidating physical presence pops immediately. Still, what will really impress college coaches is how nimble Shanahan is for a prospect of that size. Whether he is tracking a ball carrier, chasing down a GB or clearing the ball through traffic, Shanahan has displayed quick feet and decent shiftiness. Those assets combined with Shanahan's ability to deliver devastating body checks makes him extremely effective at executing well-timed slides and double teams. Shanahan can also create turnovers via heavy stick checks, crafty pokes, and trail checks. With his long wingspan and anticipation skills, Shanahan has a habit of disrupting passing lanes with his stick. Shanahan's fantastic communication skills keeps his defensive unit connected.
