McPeek will not hesitate to pick up a ground ball in the defensive end and then run through significant contact as he goes coast to coast. When the offensive player finally makes a mistake, Thau is quick to capitalize on the opportunity with a stick check, lift or can opener. He will also use a forceful body check to jar the ball loose. Thau's elite ground ball skills and speed generate transition opportunities off those turnovers. Once Thau races into the offensive end, he is a legitimate threat to uncork a rocket into the net. Once the ball is in his stick, Wainwright will push the ball up field himself or execute a smart clearing pass. Wainwright also excels as a lock down defender who can shut off an elite attackman.
