Helping the South Warren Spartans to a final four appearance, Bird proved to be a consistent threat at the faceoff dot. He ended the spring having gone 119-for-224 (53%) at the dot. He evolved into a pretty consistent threat for the Yellowjackets' offense as the year went on, and especially so as a downhill dodging talent.
