Crusaders Win Defensive Battle Against The Cougars, 4-2

The Cougars won the first matchup 8-7 back in March. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Henry Pack got things going for the Cougars to give them the early lead. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Brody Rasmuson then used his wheels to carve through the defense and scored. Making it 2-0 Cougars.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>But the Crusaders weren't going to be kept off the scoreboard. Blake Nyguen picked up a ground ball and ripped a shot with long stick. It was great to see a defender score, and you could tell that it woke the rest of his teammates up.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Johnny Trumball scored the next goal for the Crusaders, and it was 2-2 heading to halftime.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>After halftime, Milo Anderson had a small window to score and still got his shot off. And it was then 3-2 Crusaders.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>From there both teams packed it in on defense, and the offensive players were having a tough time getting good clean looks.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>[player_tooltip player_id='125267' first='Hudson' last='Pavicich'], Wyatt Carroll, and Chase Garcia all stayed with their assignments, and they also created a few turnovers.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>While Coronado's defenders, Liam Hunsaker, DJ Rogers, Karson Kuhar made scrappy plays and didn't give Faith's stronger dodgers much room to operate.</p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The top performances of the night were likely by the goalies. Daniel Auon played almost flawlessly. Weston Schultz had a quality dodge in the fourth quarter and scored. Making it 4-2.
