Prep Lacrosse’s Preseason National High School Top 25 Rankings
The high school season is officially here. While regions like the South and West have been rolling for a few weeks, a bevy of Mid-Atlantic programs are set to get underway Tuesday and Friday. With that said, it's time to unveil the Top 25 national rankings, updated every Monday throughout the season and available for free here on Prep Lacrosse.
Malvern Prep (Pa.) enters 2025 at No. 1, led by a phenomenal senior class — a highly talented and experienced group featuring Duke signees Michael Ortlieb, Owen Mears, and Will Tantillo, along with Logan Turley (Harvard), Heath Jones (Rutgers), Jake Bickel (Georgetown), and Jack Carroll (Cornell), among others. After finishing as the consensus No. 1 in each of the last two seasons, Lawrenceville (N.J.) begins at No. 2 despite graduating a dozen Division I recruits, showing no sign of a rebuilding year. Loomis Chaffee (Conn.), a surging program stocked with a fresh crop of postgrads, follows closely at No. 3.
Rounding out the top five are traditional national powers Culver (Ind.) and St. Anthony's (N.Y.), both of whom graduated much of their starting lineups but remain absolutely loaded on paper.
Check back in the coming weeks for more preseason content, recaps of early season games, and the first edition of our public school rankings.
