D3 Midwest Showcase: Standout Midfielders

It was like he had a turbo button. He dominated at the X, beating players to the ball if he lost the initial draw. When he had the ball in his stick, he could run by anyone and used both hands comfortably. He was physical when going after the ball and could carry it through contact. Gould ran with a hard-nosed, downhill style, enduring poke and lift checks. His shots had speed and he managed to score while on the move multiple times, using his defender as a screen when he could. He doesn't shy away from contact when dodging with the ball and uses strength and physicality to move through pressure. He is a downhill dodger who can pass or shoot the ball and keeps his eyes up through contact. He also used strong communication skills while on defense, and looked really athletic in the open field.
