He has nice awareness and is quick to break down when playing on the ball, leading with his stick when closing the gap, and getting physical when he needed. His poke check was accurate and controlled, as well as his lift check, making life hard for whoever was being defended. He snagged plenty of ground balls when he was supporting at the faceoff. He was a consistent outlet on clears and looked comfortable carrying the ball down the field and under pressure. He had an immediate impact when he entered the game. He stands tall in the goal, using fast feet to get in front of the ball and quick hands to punch it out. He takes up a lot of net, has nice positioning on shots, and uses fast hands to punch out and grab the ball.
