Standing at 6'1" 210 he has the ideal frame for an elite level defenseman and is also a varsity hockey player in the competitive Minnesota high school hockey league showcasing his versatility and ability as an athlete. On the lacrosse field Dubuc is an aggressive on ball defenseman with great footwork on the approach. The clip starting at 0:48 in his <a href="https://imlca.sportsrecruits.com/athlete/dylan_dubuc">highlights</a> showcases this. In the clip Dubuc makes a fundamental approach on the offensive player, keeping his stick in contact at all times driving him away from the offensive zone, and then knows when to be aggressive and push the attackman over the line for an over-and-back turnover.
