The Minnesota Chill excelled at the event, with Tranby shining on the field. The lefty showcased powerful shooting ability and a commanding physical presence, making it hard for opponents to take the ball from him. He Scored two early goals in their game against Velocity.

Turek was impressive in Cincinnati. With his good size, aggressive dodging, and active cutting, he was a playmaker and a big threat on the offensive side of the ball. His ability to keep his eyes up while dodging allows him to create additional offense for the team. He's a player to keep an eye on.

Kovarik has been matching up against the opposition's top offensive threats since spring, and has been effective. This past weekend he had a handful of caused turnovers, intercepted several passes, and exhibited smooth and effective play in the clearing game. Zack is a key contributor for 256 Lax.

Rowell is a determined defender who actively pursues ground balls, running through them and pushing the ball. He has strong checking ability, using pokes and lifts to make it difficult for whoever he is defending. Rowell also effectively matches his opponents' feet and is tough to run around.

Gibbs distinguished himself among the defenders I saw for his grasp of the fundamentals, an active stick, and his proactive approach to guarding the opposing players. This defender has quick reflexes and sharp awareness, enabling him to anticipate and mark his man.

I've watched Porter play in a couple of tournaments this summer, and he's been very productive on the crease. The attackman has good hands inside and can finish the ball without shying away from contact when facing a slide. He also does a good job carrying the ball through traffic and works hard to get to ground balls.

The Velocity 2026 team has several key contributors, with Annis standing out as one of them. When he's given the time and room, he will find the back of the net. He has a good recognition of space and works hard to get his hands free.
