If I had to choose the top offensive threat at the showcase, it would be Stoey. He has good height and speed and was a threat to score every time he touched the ball. He was quick to move out of a dodge and had prompt recognition of when he beat his man. He was dodging through stick checks all afternoon, as well as weak slides and defensive positioning, getting his hands free often. He was scoring from the crease and from outside ten yards, hitting a handful of posts as well.

Grendow was a player who always seemed to make the right play, he wanted to open up the field for his teammates. The righty had a nice swim dodge and was a workhorse when carrying the ball, beating double teams and outrunning defenders. He was a threat to make a play from wherever he was on the field, owning a quick change of direction and nice defensive skills as well.

Brannon played on both offense and defense, making contributions all over the field and looking comfortable with the ball in the offensive zone. The long stick defender controlled space and demonstrated a good understanding of positioning, remaining cool and calm under pressure. He had several takeaways, successfully slow-played the ball, and showed aggression in ground ball situations. Additionally, he was proficient at clearing the ball and carrying it.

Huth was a dependable defender and particularly excelled during the all-star game. He showed strong fundamentals when taking on offensive players, maintained good coverage, and communicated well when he was on and off-ball. When necessary, he used physicality and effectively matched up against opponents near the goal. He was proactive in challenging for ground balls in the games I observed and carried the ball well when pressured.

King was finishing the ball when he had it in his stick. Using a few different tricks and a nasty roll dodge, he consistently freed his hands on the low wing. King positioned himself well off-ball and made it tough for the defense to stay on him. He has the ability to see and utilize space. He rips the ball with a nice stroke, hitting the posts on both misses and goals several times.

What I noticed most about Carrico was how patient he was in the cage. Inside the goal, he didn't fall for any fakes, but stood tall and blocked several attempts by players trying to score up close. He moved quickly to the ball, stepping fast and extending his hands to make saves. Carrico demonstrated excellent positioning and quick reflexes, using his skills to make some impressive saves up close and on fast shots. He was also very athletic, winning the race to the end line on a couple of occasions.

Link was dominating during Tuesday's games, winning most of the faceoffs with a clamp or the ground balls that followed. He was skilled on both offense and defense, staying on the field and making quick decisions. While showing proficiency in shooting and dodging, Link was also effective at matching feet with his defensive assignments.
