Macaluso is smooth and can change speed at the drop of a hat. The North Carolina commit scored eight goals while tallying three assists this weekend and looked comfortable when he had the ball. The attackman had a great offensive showing throwing slick fakes and dodging at will.
Highlights
Coryea garnered First Team All-MSLA recognition, and it was easy to see why. The Maryland commit has vision and quick-reacting hands, great positioning pre-shot, and is quick to drop to low shots. He was active in the clear, throwing pinpoint outlets and often helping direct traffic.
Ethan Williams
Ethan Williams
Williams saw a lot of shots this weekend and made some fantastic saves. The Saint Leo commit made countless saves on the doorstep and wide-open looks, using his body to soak up low shots he couldn’t get to with his hands. A fun player to watch, he’s extremely active outside of the cage and in the clearing game.
Evan Lyon
Evan Lyon
North Allegheny’s Evan Lyon was on fire on Sunday, scoring five goals and an assist and contributing all over. The Second Team All-MSLA midfielder has a nose for the goal with a lethal step-down shot.
Szewczyk went off this weekend scoring five goals and dishing out four assists. The five-star North Carolina commit put his skills on display going both behind the back and backhanded for goals while just above the crease. Moving to attack for Culver late in the year, the First Team All-MSLA selection can dodge from anywhere on the field and has a bag of tricks at his disposal.
Dylan Nauhaus
Dylan Nauhaus
Nauhaus, a longstick midfielder, was busy this weekend, making an impact for Shady Side in the middle of the field all weekend for Shady Side. Also a standout hockey player, he has size, speed, and a relentless approach to groundballs. He was energetic on defense, continuously moving and helping when he could inside.
Ward had a good weekend, tallying five goals and an assist for Kiski. The UMBC signee showcased a wicked shot and was a tough matchup in transition for players covering him. If you took your eyes off him he made you pay. He earned First Team All-MSLA honors at attack.
Rathwell was finishing the rock, ending the weekend with five goals for Kiski. The Lehigh commit is a crafty player who throws shifty dodges to get to the cage, getting by his man on multiple occasions. He also found the back of the net behind his defenders, shooting the ball right over their shoulders.
