Not even hour-long backups on the beltway could keep a packed crowd away from one of the DMV's most esteemed rivalries, as Landon bested Bullis 13-8 at home on Friday.

Landon skyrocketed off to a 2-0 lead in the opening minutes, but never stretched its lead past three goals in the first half, largely due to Bullis' [player_tooltip player_id='24149' first='Cooper' last='Revis']' dominance at the face-off X, leaving the score at a hotly contested 7-5 at halftime. Landon switched to junior [player_tooltip player_id='23708' first='Talan' last='Smith'] in the 2nd half, and the Lafayette commit won five consecutive face-offs changing the course of the game, finally giving the Bears a chance to set up consecutive possessions. With Ohio State commit [player_tooltip player_id='15124' first='Jewel' last='Walker'] out for Bullis, Landon had the edge in 6v6 play from the jump, and Smith leveling the playing field silenced Bullis' offense in the 2nd half as the Bulldogs only managed to score three goals.

Here's a look at the Landon standouts coming away from Friday:
