The Class of 2025 in Minnesota is deep - it might even be one of the most talented groups to come out of our state in a long time. As I've dug into the research for the upcoming 2025 breakdowns, I was shocked at how many of these players were key contributors for their varsity programs last year as sophomores. Some of them were near the top of the charts in stats statewide and they still have two more seasons of high school lacrosse to play. This class could end up being one of the largest groups of MN players that go on to play at the next level.

He consistently draws every team's best pole and still produces. He is versatile in his usage as he can work from the wing and up top, but I was really impressed with his dodging from behind the goal. I am not sure you will find a player better at turning the corner from X than Peterson. On tape, I was also impressed with his ability to get to scoring areas and be a factor when he doesn't have the ball. He found ways to be a threat even if he wanted to stay away from dodging a tough matchup. The 5'11 attackman recently committed to Monmouth and, as a sophomore a year ago, Peterson led his team with 78 points (53G, 25A), good for 8u003csupu003eth u003c/supu003ebest in the entire state.","_player_evaluations_0_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_1_player":["19877"],"_player_evaluations_1_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_1_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_1_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"A key part of one of the most high-octane offenses in Minnesota H.S. history, Blake is a pure goal scorer with both outside range and inside finishing ability. He is a very smart player with a dynamic skill set, and while it's hard to pick just one thing he does best, if I had to, it's that he is one of the purest shooters in the '25 class. If he gets his hands free from anywhere inside 15 yards, it's lights out. His 98 points (67G, 31A) last year was good for second-best in the entire state, and he also set the program record for points and goals in a single season. Blake turned his phenomenal individual stat line into 2u003csupu003end u003c/supu003eTeam All-State and Pioneer Press 2u003csupu003end u003c/supu003eTeam All-Metro (Pioneer Press) honors while capping off his season with a state championship.","_player_evaluations_1_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_2_player":["17945"],"_player_evaluations_2_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_2_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_2_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"u003cp style=u0022font-weight: 400;u0022u003eCarson was another key piece of the electric Lakeville North offense in 2023. Different from his brother, Carson is a true set-up man who reads and analyzes the defense. He is a really good dodger who does most of this work from behind the goal. When he dodges, he not only beats his man and earns a slide, but he buys time to let the play develop and to let his teammates get open. When this happens, he has incredible vision and the feel to find the open player as evidenced by his state-best 57 assists last season – the next best player finished with 40 helpers. Finishing with 92 points and a state title a year ago, Carson will continue to lead the Panthers in 2024.u003c/pu003e","_player_evaluations_2_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_3_player":["19891"],"_player_evaluations_3_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_3_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_3_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"A gamer with a high compete level, Harris brings a unique blend of quickness, toughness, and style to the field. He is insanely skilled with his stick and uses quickness and change of direction to find his way to the goal consistently. He brings a box lacrosse toolkit to his game and can do some pretty incredible things to get his hands free to feed or finish. One thing that I don't think people realize until they play or coach against him is just how much of an endless motor he has. He is relentless and will save his best for the biggest moments when his team needs him the most. Last year, Harris had 35 points (26G, 9A) as a sophomore on a team that had a deep senior class. I expect him to take over as the lead guy in 2024.","_player_evaluations_3_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_4_player":["19904"],"_player_evaluations_4_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_4_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_4_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"Parker quietly finished second in goals and points for the powerful Red Knight offense in 2023. Standing at 6'3, he has a long athletic frame, allowing him to get his hands free even when the defender is in a good position. I wouldn't put him up there with the quick guys above, but he is deceptively slippery when he's dodging. He may not have that first-step burst, but he's strong on his stick and has amazing body control to just work his way into position, especially near the goal. On tape, he showed he can score from range but also work well behind the net with a high lacrosse IQ as a feeder, especially in transition. Parker doesn't get a ton of attention statewide, but he should because the production speaks for itself!","_player_evaluations_4_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_5_player":["19906"],"_player_evaluations_5_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_5_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_5_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"Busse is part of a conglomerate of great players in the '25 class for a Hornets team that was in the top five for most of last season. He is a dynamic player and does a lot of different things to make the offense click, but his double move split to roll from X is nearly unguardable. His change of direction and quickness near the goal is phenomenal and he is near automatic when driving up the right hash. As teams begin to send help early to stop him from turning the corner, he deploys elite-level vision and feeding ability finding his midfielders for open step-down shots. Another thing I absolutely love is his toughness and that he is willing to take a hit to finish. Busse had 51 points last year with a balanced blend of 29 goals and 22 assists. I expect him to be the focal point of a loaded and fully returning Edina offense in 2024.","_player_evaluations_5_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_6_player":["19941"],"_player_evaluations_6_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_6_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_6_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"As part of a '25 Trojan group that's been playing varsity since their freshman year, they're now poised for a breakout season as upperclassmen. Ungs is a crafty finisher with a rocket shot from the left wing. He is comfortable dodging but does a lot of his work away from the ball. If he gets a shot with time and space, it's almost certainly a goal. He can dodge from X or the wing and has shown to be strong on his stick and willing to absorb contact. Ungs put up an impressive 65 points last year (42g, 23a) and should be the focal point in the offense again this season.","_player_evaluations_6_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_7_player":["19942"],"_player_evaluations_7_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_7_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_7_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"Graff, the son of a coach, possesses a strong lacrosse IQ and decision-making ability that's noticeable amongst his peers. Listed at 6'4 and 198 pounds, he is the most imposing figure of this group of attackmen and will bully his way to the front of the goal. If he gets a head of steam without the defender making contact early, he routinely just runs over his matchup. While his stats don't jump off the page at first glance, he did produce an impressive 40 points (28g, 12a) and accounted for 26% of his team's goals while playing one of the more difficult schedules in 2023. The Dartmouth commit will once again be who the Jaguars will lean on to carry their offense, and with their young core now a year older, I foresee their overall team offensive production greatly improving with Graff leading the way.","_player_evaluations_7_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_8_player":["19943"],"_player_evaluations_8_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_8_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_8_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"The Stillwater attackman is the best off-ball player of the group. He has a knack for finding the soft spot in the defense and getting to areas where he can catch u0026amp; score when he gets a feed. In addition to his off-ball play, Giese is a shifty, skilled player who can weave his way through traffic and get to the net. Last year, he had 36 points (27g, 9a) for the Ponies, good for 3rd best on his squad. I'm anticipating him taking on more of a role in the offense with the graduation of the top two producers.","_player_evaluations_8_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations_9_player":["19944"],"_player_evaluations_9_player":"field_62ab9d62ecf2c","player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"","_player_evaluations_9_override_profile_image":"override-player-profile-image","player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"","_player_evaluations_9_not_in_database":"field_62aba48cecf2d","player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"Popehn came in as a 9th grader in 2022 when there were some injuries on the Red Knights attack unit and he produced immediately, earning himself a role from then on out. Popehn is a consistent shooter who gets to his spots and will consistently hit his open looks. He also works well inside and has a good knack for finding room in tight spaces bringing an added dimension to his game. Last year, Popehn had 39 points in a balanced and talented Benilde-St. Margaret's offense and 2024 should be another productive year for him.","_player_evaluations_9_evaluation":"field_62aba51aecf34","player_evaluations":10,"_player_evaluations":"field_62aba7547dc44"},"mode":"edit","alignText":"left","anchor":"acf-block-65df73b18080a"} /-->
