His right hand is extremely strong, with the ability to finish from a variety of ranges. He also displays a plethora of moves to keep defenders on their toes and find small batches of space to fire off a shot. He put all these qualities together for his second goal of the outing, getting a step on his defender from behind the cage, going to his left and finishing backhanded. There wasn't much that Latchford didn't do, appearing to assume any and all roles that were needed by his team. He started out playing longpole, but switched to short stick early on. He made a few nice plays in the clearing game and took a few face-offs, using his big frame to force lengthy scrums and ultimately won a handful of draws.
